The Will Rogers High School Renovation was completed in two separate phases. The first phase included the renovation of three different bathroom stacks - 12 stalls in total. The original bathrooms had been built in various decades since the 1930s and needed consistent up to date plumbing and new finishings to help keep this historical building functional and beautiful into the future.
The second phase of this project included the summer remodel of nearly 100,000 square feet of classrooms for the high school. The remodel included new flooring, doors, painting, an updated band room, fire suppression system, low voltage circuits, and a few rooftop units. Crews also filled in an old pool area to create a new weight room to accommodate the district’s current needs. The old mill work needed to be restored to its original glory from the wear and tear of the past nine decades. Doors also had to be cut to size on-site. These renovations will take the building structurally and technologically into the future by adding interactive boards and teaching models that help aid the students’ education. All of this construction was completed in just three short months - ready for the 2019 school year.
