Stryker Sports Complex
Crossland Construction – building a better community one project at a time
Wichita, KS
Stryker Sports is the largest sporting complex of its kind in the Wichita area. It has the capacity to host over 900 teams per event. This project involved several phases that were bid separately and awarded to different general contractors. Crossland performed the building work which included the indoor soccer facility as well as stadium improvements. The indoor soccer facility was a 297′ clear span pre-engineered metal building with an area for concessions, restrooms, and offices. The stadium improvements involved renovation and additions to the existing stadium. Construction was concrete masonry unit and steel and included restrooms, concessions, ticket booths, a press box, and additional bleacher seating. The weather was a big challenge for this project. An abundance of rain forced crews to erect the building in the mud. In true Crossland form, our teams worked overtime hours to get the owner in on time for the first owner event.
