Star Park
Retail Therapy In Las Colinas
Irving, TX
A key component of any successful residential neighborhood is the amenities. The shopping, the dining, the outdoor spaces, the things to do.
The Star Park development provides all that and more, located within Las Colinas, a master planned urban center in Irving, Texas.
Crossland was tasked with building the 37,000 SF retail space and park to support the multifamily housing complex inside Las Colinas. This $8.3 million project consisted of three total buildings.
The exterior of these spaces was made of stone and brick with metal finishes.
Crossland also constructed the public park area and storefronts.
A unique challenge on this project was the soil in the Las Colinas which was very volatile when construction began, expanding and contracting.
The soil had to be moisture-conditioned so that it could be built upon. It was a time-consuming process, but necessary for the job.
At Crossland, we prioritize our clients above all else – so when the soil wreaked havoc on a sidewalk, post-project completion, and warranty, we still did the right thing.
Crossland sent crews to fix the issue because it was the right thing to do for our client.
This was among the first retail projects in Las Colinas. With strong communication and diligence on our end, Crossland provided a quality project for the community to enjoy for years to come.
