Sherman Fire Station #4
Home away from home for first responders
Sherman, TX
The Sherman Fire Station had a Construction Manager contract value of $3.5M. The 12,606 SF facility has three bays in total – two for fire trucks and one for an ambulance. Living quarters for four firemen and a captain are also part of the structure’s footprint. A day room and kitchen are included, as well. The pre-engineered metal building is equipped with a backup generator. Exterior finishes include vertical insulated metal panels, a standing seam roof, and masonry at one corner of the building. On the interior, there is painted drywall, carpet, exposed concrete floors, and a lay-in ceiling.
The Sherman Fire Station is the first new building for the City of Sherman in 18 years. The community is extremely pleased with the results. The project was completed ahead of schedule and on budget.
