Saint Francis Springer Clinic Endoscopy
Renovations lead to 2x capacity
Tulsa, OK
Adding an endoscopy suite to the Saint Francis Springer Clinic would allow them to more than double their scheduled procedures. Crossland Construction was chosen to manage this lower level renovation to their building in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The suite included 10 pre-procedure rooms, eight endoscopy procedure rooms and 12 Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) rooms. The endo suite was constructed with state-of-the-art scope processing and cleaning rooms, where various procedure instruments are processed. The new suite was furnished with standalone medical gas systems and dedicated emergency power. The exterior portion of work included a 30-foot retaining wall clad with limestone, which can also be found throughout the Saint Francis Health System campus. A smaller retaining wall, wrapped with the same stone, divided the main drive and parking lot. A new canopy cantilevered over the main entrance to the clinic and was wrapped with architectural metal panels. Colored concrete can be found at the patient drop off zone and in the walkways from the parking lots.
All work had to be completed while keeping a fully functioning hospital clinic open and operational, which meant crews were required to perform loud construction before 7am or after 9pm. There were also several ceiling clearance limitations and gas pipe hurdles that required specialized contractors, who were located and utilized. Overall, careful planning and well-qualified subcontractors made this project a success. The new endoscopy suite allowed Saint Francis Health System to more than double their scheduled procedures in this area.
