Premiere Pediatrics is a single story structure that is home to more than 50 rooms. What is most remarkable about this project is the attention to detail in terms of design. The interior is laid out to resemble a movie theater. Each exam room is cinema-themed, with theater room numbers and director-cut boards marking their entrances. There are two waiting rooms, both with large activity walls, big screen televisions, and high-end contemporary furniture. The carpet is unique in design, and presented an equally unique challenge in terms of installation. With 16 different colored carpet patterns, the mixing and matching wasn’t your everyday process. The space is trimmed out with different-sized trims that overlap and are painted multiple colors. Two styles of wallpaper are mixed throughout the waiting rooms and are tied together with reglets. Interior completion was tedious, but the results are remarkable. From the outside, patients and their families are equally impressed by the structure’s façade. Composite panels wrap the front and street side views. However, the bulk of the facility is wrapped in frosted storefront glass windows and brick.
Working closely with the FAA during the concrete phase, Crossland completed the project on time and under budget.
