Elevating Workspace: Pray Walker Law Firm’s Office
Tulsa, OK
In the fall of 2022, global real estate services and investment firm CBRE released its list of Tulsa’s Coolest Office Spaces. Nine spaces were recognized on the list, including four law firms.
Pray Walker, at 21 N. Greenwood was one of those law firms. That’s cool for them and Crossland, as our team helped construct their beautiful office space.
Good to Be Back
The work on Pray Walker’s interior space was Crossland’s second go-around at the 21 N. Greenwood development.
Prior to working on the inside, Crossland built the 83,000 SF shell that features open, column-free office space, retail space on the ground floor, a parking garage, and a rooftop multi-use facility.
The $1.5 million, 12,500 SF interior of Pray Walker’s office features new walls, doors, hardware, millwork, and various architectural features, such as wood trim and decorative wall tile coverings.
Special features that helped land them on the ‘Coolest Spaces’ list include integrated millwork for the lawyers’ offices, glass walls and doors, decorative light fixtures, and a backlit quartz slab at the main entrance.
Great Relationships
Seamless coordination with GH2 Architects facilitated a smooth design-build process. The owner gave us a budget and a list of particular wants and needs, and our project team established clear communication, bringing cost-saving alternatives to GH2 as they designed office space.
Throughout the process, if any issues arose, we would all meet on-site, discuss, and agree on a plan to move forward.
Hitting the Mark
Staying on or even under budget is always a top priority on any project.
Pre-construction efforts, spearheaded by our Tulsa preconstruction manager, played a crucial role in cost management, allowing for accurate pricing and meticulous planning well before construction commenced.
This project had minimal challenges, with the lead time on wood doors posing the only obstacle. To overcome this, our team formed a contingency plan, understanding that we would install the doors at a later date. However, the doors ended up shipping a month ahead of schedule.
Returning to 21 N. Greenwood held special significance for Crossland, fostering a strong relationship with the owner and The Hille Foundation. The collaboration with Pray Walker, a prestigious firm deserving of their Cool Space accolade, reflects Crossland’s dedication to excellence and the pursuit of rewarding partnerships.
Rewarding Work
As Crossland had built the shell of the 21 N. It was very rewarding to return to work on outfitting one of the interior spaces in the Greenwood building. We formed a great relationship with the owner and The Hille Foundation.
It was great getting to work with a prestigious firm such as Pray Walker, and they are quite deserving of the Coolest Space honor.
