Moore, Oklahoma, Expands Animal Care with a State-of-the-Art Shelter
Moore, OK
The City of Moore, Oklahoma, has taken a significant step forward in animal welfare with the completion of a new, state-of-the-art animal shelter. This 14,000-square-foot facility replaces an outdated, smaller shelter, more than doubling capacity for dogs and cats and improving overall care.
Part of a $16 million bond initiative approved in 2021, the $8 million project enhances the city’s ability to provide safe, comfortable spaces for rescued and adoptable animals.
Thoughtful Design & Durable Construction
The shelter features a modern exterior with metal panels, colored blocks, and brick veneer, ensuring long-term durability and aesthetic appeal. Our team also constructed a concrete parking lot and installed fencing and signage to improve functionality and accessibility.
Inside, the facility includes kennels, a livestock barn with metal paneling, a safe room, and high-durability finishes such as sheetrock, diamond plate, and additional metal panels for added resilience.
A Collaborative & Smooth Build
Despite minor challenges with roofing materials and some brickwork, construction progressed smoothly. Our team worked closely with the City of Moore, going above and beyond to enhance the experience—including custom gifts for the groundbreaking and installing a construction camera so city officials could monitor progress in real time.
We’re proud to have played a role in improving Moore’s animal care infrastructure and look forward to future partnerships with the city.
