Joplin High Service PS Replacement
Joplin, MO
Missouri American Water’s High Service Pump Station (HSPS) at their Joplin Water Treatment Plant was in disrepair and required a total replacement. Crossland Heavy Contractors mobilized a team to the site to construct a new, 6-pump 25 MGD HSPS, install associated piping, and decommission the existing HSPS. The CHC Team developed a 4-stage tie-in procedure with a sophisticated bypass system to keep the existing high service pump station online during all tie-ins. We suggested and constructed precast concrete walls for their pump station construction as a value engineering idea to save the owner money. Ultimately we completed the project 45 days early for Missouri American Water.
