The Third and Fourth Grade Center of Jenks, Oklahoma is truly unique. The building’s exterior is covered with brick, metal panels, and EIFS, giving the school a modern feel. Glass curtain walls wrap around the building in multiple areas making the best use of natural light. The interior features bright colors and large open spaces. Classrooms are laid out in a “pod” system, meaning classes are grouped together in large open areas, with one shared common space. There are eight pods at the center, which include 32 classrooms.
The cafeteria doubles as a school auditorium, complete with stage. There is also a 5,000 square foot gymnasium that is used daily for recreation time. The school has a combined library/media center with high ceilings, SmartBoards, computers, and traditional paper books. The second floor of the building contains an expansive art room.
Jenks Third and Fourth Grade Center is just one of the numerous facilities Crossland has had the privilege of building for the Jenks School District. Additionally, we have collaborated with the district on a cafeteria expansion and renovation, a field house, and a health and fitness facility.
