The Oklahoma Department of Transportation’s Highway 10 bridge project in Miami, Oklahoma includes the demolition and replacement of two Spring River bridges. Bridge A is 751 feet long and 70 feet tall, and spans the waterway. Crews will construct two interior bents using flexifloat barges to navigate the water and complete the work. Piers measuring six feet in diameter, drilled down into 15 feet of rock, will support the bridge and ensure a firm foundation. Bridge B measures 400 feet long and spans a small drainage that empties into the river. Piers measuring five feet in diameter will be drilled into solid rock at a depth of 13 feet.
