Hefner WTP Sludge Handling Facility

Water Treatment Plants

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Brief Summary

Crossland Heavy improved the local environment and saved Oklahoma City Water Services money by building this facility. The completed expansion project, which contained 22,000 cubic yards of structural concrete, increased the plant’s processing capacity from 75 million gallons to 100 million gallons daily. This additional capacity helps the Lake Hefner Water Treatment Plant to increase its underground treated water stores, which then supplies more water to the communities of Oklahoma City. With only 24 months to complete the project, team coordination and communication was imperative to a successful delivery.
