Crossland Construction Company was awarded the $12.2 million contract for the Grove School District’s Performing Arts Center in Grove, Oklahoma. This 40,700 square foot facility houses classrooms, an auditorium and stage, and a lobby. The precast structure is covered with metal panels and glazed and burnished block. Both patrons and performers see clouds as they look to the painted interior ceilings in the auditorium and metal in the lobby. Auditorium work was particularly challenging for Crossland crews because of the high ceilings; numerous lifts were operational in a relatively tight space. Through clear and concise communication with all trades, the project progressed on schedule.
