New facility allows Groendyke to handle a higher volume of trucks in a more streamlined capacity
Tulsa, OK
Family-owned Groendyke Transport, Inc. is one of the largest tank-truck carriers in the nation. With 41 terminals in 15 states, Groendyke has more than 85 years of liquid bulk shipping expertise.
Plans for the Oklahoma Turner Turnpike to demolish Groendyke’s existing Tulsa truck terminal to make room for a new highway meant a new terminal was needed quickly. Groendyke Transport hired Crossland to build the massive structure, including 10+ acres of concrete paving for semi-truck parking and a 22,000 SF newly constructed metal building with concrete tilt walls.
The new facility includes four bays for truck maintenance, office space and a conference room, a dispatch area, and a spacious driver lounge and showers. Crossland self-performed the key construction activities to streamline the process and maintain much more control over the schedule to meet a tight deadline. Groendyke can now handle a higher volume of trucks in a more streamlined capacity.
