Don’s Cold Storage Expands to Support Growing Demand

Supporting the logistical needs of a global industry leader, Don’s Cold Storage & Logistics has unveiled its new state-of-the-art facility in Webb City, Missouri.

This $6.2 million, 120,000-square-foot climate-controlled storage facility was built from the ground up by Crossland Construction. Designed to support the company’s diverse service offerings—including blast freezing, cold storage, dry storage, and transportation—the facility embodies precision engineering and high-quality construction tailored to meet the needs of both national and global markets.

The building’s design features painted concrete tilt-wall panels and storefront visuals, complemented by interior finishes of sealed concrete and tilt walls. These finishes were specifically chosen to create an optimal environment for dry storage while ensuring durability and functionality.

As a repeat client of Crossland, Don’s Cold Storage entrusted the team to deliver a facility that met their high standards and supported their continued growth. With minimal challenges encountered, the project focused on efficiency and quality. Crossland’s team self-performed critical trades, including steelwork and rough carpentry, ensuring seamless execution and timely delivery.

Completed in the fall of 2020, the new facility represents a significant milestone for Don’s Cold Storage & Logistics. It enhances their capacity to serve a broader market while reinforcing their commitment to providing comprehensive temperature-controlled solutions.
