COT NA Zone 3011
Rehabilitating neighborhoods and enhancing flood protection over 7+ lane-miles
Tulsa, OK
At over 7 lane-miles—Crossland Heavy’s largest non-arterial project to date—the Zone 3011 project impacted 551 households for the better. Not only are the streets and driveway approaches brand new, but the neighborhood now also has a robust storm drainage system to provide flood protection and longevity to the region. Unsuitable subgrade became a prevalent issue on multiple areas of the project. Our team collaborated and developed an approach to CHC’s plan was to undercut the area and build it back up with additional fill, coupled with a Tensar geogrid product. We also installed a 4” edge drain on either side of the roadway through these areas. The project team worked tirelessly to ensure each of the 551 impacted residences was accessible and safe throughout the project. The public, construction, design, and City teams worked together to complete a truly impactful project.
