Cassville Public Works Opens New 8,100SF Facility
Cassville, MO
A New Home for Cassville Public Works
The City of Cassville, Missouri has a new state-of-the-art Public Works facility, providing a modern space for essential city services. This $2.6 million, 8,100-square-foot project delivers functional upgrades designed to meet the growing needs of the community while improving operational efficiency.
Project Overview
The new facility includes both office space and a garage area, housed in a pre-engineered metal building (PEMB). The exterior metal panels are broken into three distinct segments, adding visual appeal to the structure. Inside, the office space features traditional finishes, while the garage includes oversized doors to accommodate city equipment.
In addition to the main building, the project also includes a separate open-structure PEMB within a secured compound for cold/dry material and equipment storage. This addition ensures that essential materials remain protected while maximizing space and efficiency for the Public Works Department.
Overcoming Challenges & Staying on Schedule
The intricate trim work on the metal panels required extra labor hours, briefly delaying the building dry-in process. However, Crossland’s team worked proactively and efficiently, making up for lost time and ensuring the project stayed on schedule and on budget—without sacrificing quality.
Self-Performed Work
To maintain quality and efficiency, Crossland self-performed key aspects of the project, including:
• Concrete work, ensuring a strong foundation and site infrastructure.
• Steel erection, optimizing the installation of the PEMB structure for speed and precision.
• Finish carpentry, delivering high-quality craftsmanship in the office areas.
Self-performing these critical elements allowed greater control over scheduling and quality, ensuring the project was executed to the highest standards.
Collaboration with the Cassville Community
Throughout the project, Crossland worked closely with city officials and the local community, ensuring the facility met both functional needs and design expectations.
To commemorate the completion of the project, Crossland was honored to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony, celebrating alongside city officials and community members.
This collaboration helped create a high-quality space that will significantly enhance Cassville’s ability to maintain and improve public infrastructure, ensuring the city continues to thrive for years to come.
