Brief Summary

39 Rainbow, in conjunction with the University of Kansas Hospital and located on Rainbow Road at West 39th Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas, is a facility that provides acute and post-acute rehabilitation services in one convenient space with state-of-the-art equipment and design.

The project included a pharmacy, a restaurant, and retail space on the first floor. There is also a breezeway through the center allowing patrons to conveniently access various areas of the building. On the second floor is a 27,800 square foot acute rehabilitation hospital. Kansas City Skilled Care is located on the third and fourth floors, providing post-acute and rehabilitation services for patients. The fourth floor also houses rehabilitation equipment, with space for activities.  It features a large architectural skylight that allows for natural light.  There is also a rooftop terrace for outdoor rehabilitation.  The building’s exterior features masonry, stone and EIFS.
