Crossland Prefab is proud to announce that Dustin McMinn recently graduated from the National Precast Concrete Association’s Master Precaster program. The NPCA program includes pre-cast specific training and comprehensive education courses for production, safety, technical, quality control, and leadership. This distinguished certification process is developed in conjunction with industry experts, producers, and departments of transportation and academia. https://precast.org/education/...
“Completing this precast program is a significant accomplishment. Dustin committed to the process and got it done. His overall knowledge and work ethic are inspiring. We are proud to have him on our team,” said Rob Newsom, Crossland Prefab plant manager. To earn the Master Precaster designation, students must complete six NPCA Precast University courses totaling 89 hours. Notable topics include batching and mixing, water-cement ratios, forklift operations, precast maturity methods, reading and understanding blueprints, basics of design theory for concrete elements, and improving employee performance.
“Although the path is arduous, nothing is more important than ensuring that employees are equipped with the right tools, resources and knowledge to be successful in the workforce,” said Ty Gable. “We are very proud of the Master Precaster class of 2019.” To date, Dustin is one of only 181 Master Precasters in the United States.
