At the Associated General Contractors of Oklahoma Build Oklahoma Awards (Builders Bash), Crossland Construction was recognized with three project awards, one for the Cherokee Nation Salina Clinic, another for the Newell Coach Phase II Expansion, and one for Guthrie Cotteral Elemtentary.
These projects represent three very different sectors, healthcare, manufacturing, and education, but they share the same foundation: strong planning, hands-on execution, the capabilities to back it up, and a commitment to doing the job right.

Building a Healthcare Resource That Will Serve for Generations
Cherokee Nation Salina Clinic | Salina, Oklahoma

The 112,000-square-foot Cherokee Nation Salina Clinic is more than a medical facility—it’s a long-term investment in community health.
Delivered as a CM at Risk project, this $65.7 million facility provides comprehensive healthcare services across a 27-acre campus. From primary care and behavioral health to dental, imaging, and a full wellness center, the clinic expands access to care for Native American communities across the region.
What Sets This Project Apart
- LEED Silver Certified: Sustainable design and construction practices built into every phase
- Comprehensive Care Under One Roof: Integrated services including pharmacy, dental, optometry, and specialty care
- Thoughtful Design: Architectural elements inspired by water, reflected in curves throughout the building
- Self-Perform Strength: Concrete, carpentry, and storm systems completed by Crossland crews
Real Challenges. Real Solutions.
This project required problem-solving early and often:
- Stormwater redesign eliminated an expensive underground detention system, delivering significant cost savings
- Gas line relocation was proactively coordinated to avoid delays
- Steel schedule delays were offset by Crossland’s self-perform crews stepping in to keep progress moving
- Complex equipment coordination was streamlined to prevent rework and maintain efficiency
Why It Matters
This clinic is now a cornerstone for healthcare in the Cherokee Nation, built to serve patients, families, and providers for decades to come. It also strengthened long-term partnerships, leading to continued healthcare work across the region.
Delivering Precision Without Disruption
Newell Coach Phase II Expansion | Miami, Oklahoma

The Newell Coach Phase II Expansion required precision, coordination, and respect for an active operation.
This 15,300-square-foot, two-story facility expands the headquarters of one of Oklahoma’s premier luxury motorcoach manufacturers, adding office space, engineering areas, and a high-end customer design studio.
What Sets This Project Apart
- High-End Design: Custom architectural features including a wood-and-glass staircase and premium finishes
- Operational Sensitivity: Built directly adjacent to an active headquarters, with zero disruption
- Expanded Site Work: Over 50,000 SF of new concrete paving supporting operations
Real Challenges. Real Execution.
- Unstable soils required major over-excavation and replacement to create a reliable foundation
- Tight site logistics demanded phased construction and constant coordination
- Custom interior elements required elevated craftsmanship and sequencing beyond typical office builds
Why It Matters
This project supports the continued growth of a key Oklahoma manufacturer while reinforcing long-term partnership. It’s a clear example of how construction can drive both business success and local economic impact.
Building For The Next Generation
Cotteral Elementary School | Guthrie, Oklahoma

The Cotteral Elementary School project represents a different kind of impact—one focused on students, teachers, and the future of a growing community.
This 54,000-square-foot, $17.7 million facility brings Guthrie Public Schools’ Pre-K and Kindergarten programs together under one roof, creating a safer, more efficient learning environment designed for long-term growth. Delivered using the CMAR method, Crossland partnered with the district from the beginning to align scope, budget, and schedule.
What Sets This Project Apart
- FEMA-Rated Storm Shelter Gymnasium: Built with 50 precast panels for safety and durability
- Precision Execution: Entire gym structure set in just four days using just-in-time delivery
- Thoughtful Details: Maple wood gym flooring and restored school signage honoring district history
- Built for Growth: Designed to support expanding enrollment and evolving educational needs
Real Challenges. Real Solutions.
- Active Campus Construction: Built next to a fully operating school, requiring strict safety coordination and phased execution
- No Laydown Space: Just-in-time delivery strategy eliminated storage constraints and kept the project moving
- Tight Timeline: Aggressive scheduling and constant coordination kept the 21-month project on track
Why It Matters
This project goes beyond construction—it’s about creating a place where students can learn, grow, and feel safe.
From early cost-saving strategies that allowed reinvestment back into the district to hands-on moments like helping teachers move into their classrooms before the first day, this project reflects a deeper level of partnership. It also reinforces something Crossland does consistently: building trust alongside the work.
What These Awards Really Represent
Awards are the result, not the goal.
These three projects show what happens when strong preconstruction, self-perform capabilities, and accountability come together:
- Problems get solved early
- Schedules stay intact
- Clients trust the process
- Communities benefit long after completion
That’s the standard Crossland brings to every project—regardless of size, sector, or complexity. From healthcare facilities that serve entire communities, to manufacturing spaces that support economic growth, to schools that shape the next generation, these projects show how Crossland’s capabilities adapt to meet the moment.
