Prosper United Methodist Church
Preparing for the Future in Prosper
Prosper, TX
Prosper United Methodist Church is prepared to serve its community for the next 100 years.
The church’s new campus, completed in August 2022, gives PUMC room to grow and expand its connection with the community.
The $8.8 million, 26,000 SF facility features a variety of multi-use spaces, including a sanctuary, children’s room, warming kitchen, administrative offices, and gallery that celebrates the church’s history and heritage.
Project Finishes
Exterior finishes include wood decking and trusses, along with stucco and brick. Unique laminated and “stained glass” is featured throughout.
The stained glass is actually a polycarbonate product similar to plastic. It’s a resinous material created by a 3D printer, which makes it much lighter than traditional stained glass.
Interior flooring includes polished concrete, carpet, and LVT. Wood trusses and exposed metal decks were nice features inside the lobby and sanctuary.
Project Challenges
Although the project went smoothly overall, we did encounter a challenge when we discovered that the concrete beams installed by a subcontractor early on were not up to our quality standards. We take pride in our commitment to quality and excellence, so our in-house concrete crews tore down the beams and replaced them to make sure the final outcome was up to our standards.
Crossland is committed to delivering projects that have a positive impact on our communities, and we take pride in being part of that process. This project was no exception, and we are proud to have played a role in bringing this new campus for Prosper United Methodist Church to life.
