Broken Arrow WTP
The largest membrane water treatment plant in Oklahoma
Broken Arrow, OK
Crossland Heavy expanded and made improvements to the Broken Arrow Municipal Authority’s existing water treatment plant. The facility is now able to process 24 million gallons daily. It was a two-phase project that required approximately 115,000 man hours, 12,000 cubic yards of concrete, and over 10 miles of pipe.
Major structures included a six million gallon clear well, a pre-cast tilt-up membrane building, a pretreatment basin requiring 2,500 cubic yards of cast-in-place concrete, and a three-stage flocculation and inclined plate settler system. Additionally, we constructed a high service pump station with four 900 HP vertical pumps and a raw water pump station with 30-foot cast-in-place walls, an engineered sheet pile shoring system, three vertical turbine pumps, and sludge lagoons. Lastly we constructed a 30-acre sedimentation pond and a refurbished 20 acre sedimentation pond.
