Marshalltown Tools Expansion

Brief Summary

Crossland Construction is added approximately 52,000 square feet to the existing Marshalltown Tools warehouse.  The new addition included 9,600 square feet of new office space, with the same square footage footprint directly above for future office expansion.  The completed first floor office addition featured a brick façade with punch aluminum windows; an elevator was added for future 2nd floor use.  A new, glass atrium-designed break room allows employees to enjoy the outdoors in a climate-controlled environment.

The remaining 42,400 square feet is a new manufacturing area.  The existing, exterior wall was removed to open the addition into the manufacturing space, leaving the entire combined manufacturing area open; a bridge crane spans from one end of the building to the other.  Other features include four new, 400 amp bus ducts to provide power to new equipment, an air loop, a gas loop, and a water loop, all serving to provide the Owner utilities where needed when the final equipment is determined and to accommodate any equipment reappointments in the future.
