Highlands Oncology Center

Brief Summary

Highlands Oncology Group of Fayetteville, Arkansas chose Crossland Construction to build a new cancer center located in the Pinnacle Hills area of Rogers, Arkansas. The $8.7 million project serves as a comprehensive cancer treatment facility for the residents of Northwest Arkansas.  The first floor includes treatment and diagnostic areas, as well as a pharmacy, medical offices, café, and boutique.  The linear accelerator radiation rooms required special construction measures, including seven-foot-thick walls and roofs and two neutron shielded doors for radiation absorption. The diagnostic area located on the east side of the building is complete with MRI, PET SCAN, and xray rooms.

The second floor has a 5,000 square foot chemotherapy suite with four private treatment rooms.  Also included on this floor are 20+ examination rooms and a medical records department; a chapel is located on the east side of the building.  The facility is also in close proximity to the Mercy Medical Center.  Crossland carpenters and crews installed over 300 sheets of complex citadel architectural paneling to the interior of the 56,700 square foot facility.
