DECATUR WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT

Brief Summary

The Decatur Wastewater Treatment Plant improvement project was a three-cell SBR system that included 4,500 cubic yards of poured-in-place concrete.  Work included an expansion of their effluent clarification with the addition of an Actiflo unit.  The project was delivered as an emergency ordinance for the City of Decatur, which required constant coordination with the engineer and owner as the design was approximately 80% completed when construction began.  Major elements of this project include structural concrete, a pre-engineered metal building, interconnecting yard piping, a process pipe, chemical piping, and all equipment installation.
