Baker Hughes

Brief Summary

This Baker Hughes-Crossland Construction collaboration is a 40 acre project in Williston, North Dakota.  The Bakken Oil Formation resulted in an increased workforce for Baker Hughes, and a new facility was necessary to accommodate their growth.  This project boasts 8 inch paving. There are numerous outbuildings to fit the company’s onsite needs. The main structure has a two story, 35,000 square foot administration building that is dedicated to office space and several conference rooms. High end finishes are found throughout the interior. The exterior is pre-cast and structural steel, with two towers on each end of the building and large storefront windows. Also onsite is a vehicle maintenance facility/workshop with seven overhead cranes running its length.  Additional features include a paint spray booth, preflight area, and fluid dispensers for lubing trucks.

I have overseen several hotel projects in my 30 years with John Q. Hammons and, I must say, this one has been a true pleasure to work on.  The Crossland team performed simply spectacularly in a tough construction market and on a pretty tight schedule.  I hope to get the opportunity to work with the Crossland team on another project in the future.
