Crossland Construction Receives Excellence In Construction Awards

Fayetteville, Arkansas – Crossland Construction Company’s work earned them multiple awards this year from the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Arkansas. The Vista 21 building ranked first place in the $2 million to $5 million Commercial Office category in ABC’s Excellence in Construction Awards competition.  Our work on the Game Composites building earned first place in the $1 million to $5 million Industrial category, and our work on Lake Atalanta Park was also awarded first place in the Under $10 million Other Construction category.  Crossland’s team accepted these awards on April 22nd during the annual Excellence in Construction celebration at the Chancellor Hotel in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

“ABC congratulates Crossland Construction for their outstanding work on Vista 21, Game Composites, and Lake Atalanta Park,” said Bill Roachell, ABC Arkansas President.  “These projects are true examples of exceptional craftsmanship and professionalism that define merit shop construction. It is an honor for the association to recognize these projects with our top construction Excellence awards.”

ABC Arkansas designed the Excellence in Construction program to recognize outstanding performance in the merit shop construction field. The awards honor all construction team members, including the Contractor, Owner, Architect, and Engineer. This year's competition was open to all construction projects completed by ABC member firms during 2016. The winning projects were selected from entries submitted statewide, and were judged on complexity, attractiveness, unique challenges overcome, completion time, workmanship, innovation, safety, and cost.

A panel from the University of Arkansas Construction Management Department at Little Rock served as competition judges.

Crossland provided superior project management, supervision, and coordination.  Everyone on the project team took pride in their work and was professional, competent, and safe.  It’s widely evident that Crossland as a company fosters these values.  They were always conscientious about their activities and endeavored to make sure that all work was properly coordinated to insure that this site remained a hospital first and a construction site second.
